Hello from Bethany!

We would like to welcome Bethany Law, our marvellous new Intern from Uclan. Here we let her introduce herself.

I’m Bethany and I’m a final year Dance Performance and Teaching student currently studying at the University of Central Lancashire.

I’ve been dancing for 16 years and have covered a wide variety of styles. My teaching and facilitation experience ranges from teaching in primary and secondary schools, to working on new projects with individuals with Parkinson’s. Over the past 2 summers I have worked in the states at a summer camp teaching performing arts and sports, and I am a teacher at a dance studio in Preston. 2 of my choreographies have been published over the last 18 months and I continue to create new work as a member of UCLan Dance Company.

I’m used to working on a different side of dance, so now I’m able to deepen my understanding of the industry from a business-focused viewpoint. In the next couple of years I’m looking to study a Masters in Events Management, so working with Culturapedia and Spot On Lancashire is an amazing opportunity that will definitely feed into the work I do in the future.
