Culturapedia are the delivery partners for Plugged In Pennine Lancashire alongside Pendle Leisure Trust and Blackburn with Darwen Borough Council. Plugged In is a new Arts Council England funded strategic touring project designed to develop new audiences for high quality performing arts. You will be working, alongside a new engagement coordinator, with new and existing community groups, supporting them to select, promote and market the things that they want to see in their local venues.

Have you got the skills to engage with community groups, from mother and toddlers to older people, help them identify what they’d like to promote, find or commission it and support them as venue promoters? Can you juggle targets, communicate through social media and keep the records up to date? Can you make connections, think creatively and manage events?

You will manage the project and coordinate communication between the Engagement Coordinator, the venues, the project partners and professional performing arts companies.

This is a part time (0.5) post. In return you’ll get a salary of £21,000 pro rata (that means £10,500), your own avatar on the Culturapedia website and cake on your birthday! This opportunity is currently offered for two years. The Culturapedia office is in a converted barn adjacent to the Directors’ home. Access involves a cobbled courtyard and stairs. Culturapedia is happy to make reasonable adjustments, if necessary, to secure the best new team member.

The Culturapedia team pride themselves on their love of ideas. New projects and initiatives mean that things are always evolving and with this comes the opportunity for new adventures.
