New Communications Coordinator role at Culturapedia

Could you put Culturapedia’s projects in the public eye, persuade someone to donate space and keep people informed?

This is your chance to join a creative, energetic and enthusiastic team with a mission to promote, articulate and develop successful projects including somewhereto_NW and Spot On Rural Touring.

In return you’ll get a salary on the scale of £15,000 to £17,000, (pro rata), your own avatar on the Culturapedia website and cake on your birthday!

It’s a really exciting time to join the team at Culturapedia. Soon to be a team of seven people and a dog, based in Pennine Lancashire. They exist to give ideas legs and their mission is to facilitate human evolution through cultural encounters.

You may have experience as a journalist or in PR. Mainly you’ll need to be an excellent communicator with the ability to manage Culturapedia’s communications across a range of cultural projects.

This rare opportunity has come about as, after three years, one of the team has an exciting new editorial role on a national project.

This opportunity is initially offered for twelve months. It is for 21 hours a week.  The Culturapedia office is in a converted barn adjacent to the Directors’ home. Access involves a cobbled courtyard and stairs. Culturapedia is happy to make reasonable adjustments, if necessary, to secure the best new team member.

The Culturapedia team pride themselves on their love of ideas. New projects and initiatives mean that things are always evolving and with this comes the opportunity for new adventures.

If you’d like to join the team at Culturapedia, send over a copy of your CV, details of two referees and explain how you would go about developing greater awareness of our core projects. You might want to do this on no more than two sides of A4; in a two minute film or audio file or with a creative digital presentation. Remember, a good presentation is brief and to the point. To help you, the team have drafted a job description and a Profile describing the skills, experiences and qualities that they think you’ll need. Remember to address these in your application. There is also an application cover sheet which you can find here.

The closing date for applications is 12 noon on Wednesday 30th April. The team will then draw up a shortlist of people they’d like to meet for an interview. These will take place on May 12th in Blackburn
