Engaging in international partnerships to share ideas and practice and tour international artists to rural, library and small urban venues in Lancashire and UK artists abroad. We will also share international work digitally.
We may be on an island but we are European and world citizens and recent world events prove we can’t build walls and pretend the world is not out there and that it doesn’t influence us. Maintaining links, building partnerships and sharing learning is important to our mission. We want to go beyond national and international borders. We can learn from others’ experiences and share our own perspectives.
Since 2005, together with our northern touring partners, we have had an excellent partnership with the Atlantic Presenters Association in Maritime Canada.
We are also members of Arts in Rural European Areas, and Director Sue Robinson sits on the Executive Board.
