Working with public-facing library and museum staff to present a curated professional performing arts programme to audiences in Lancashire’s libraries in villages, peri-urban centres and museums.
We believe libraries to be amongst the most democratic and welcoming spaces available. We have developed a strong partnership with Lancashire County Council’s Library Service over the past nine years. We work directly with public-facing librarians who select a show from a curated menu of professional performing arts. We work closely with them to market it and sell tickets. This activity runs parallel to our rural and small urban touring programme.
We are national leaders on library touring, and we have spoken of this work at national conferences and British Library seminars. We are mentors for libraries and companies nationally and delivery partners in the National Rural Touring Forum’s Touring Arts in Libraries (TAIL) programme.
